A Foul Light Shines Race to the Sea

The Festival of Blades has come to Sha-Laial. A fighting tournament hosted by the local lords that aims to bring visitors from all over Kian. Those who compete win fame, glory, and, most importantly, piles of gold. What starts as simply curiosity turns to a frantic effort to participate when Mavec learns that the Academy's team is led by Warren Alston, the man responsible for his banishment from Jai-Anora. There's just one problem: they don't have the entry fee.

A fateful journey to the Valley of Steam to secure the fee will see our heroes cross blades with powerful devils and learn of a cryptic threat to Raise the Iron Castle. The reach of devils is far, and even the festival isn't free from their machinations. A plot hatched in secrets and deception will send our heroes and new allies racing to the sea to square off against Cutthroat Crowley, Illaria's sworn enemy. They arrive as the Blue Banner Army prepares to assault Crowley’s pirate fortress. Suspecting that Illaria’s parents and Bait’s clan are held captive on the island, our heroes set out to rescue them before the hammer blow falls.
